Sayville High School’s homecoming celebration Saturday afternoon was capped off with the football team’s thrilling 51-44 win over East Islip.
With all that scoring, there was plenty of action on the field. But the build-up before the game — as well as halftime festivities, thousands of fans and a visit from Notre Dame quarterback Jack Coan — helped round out a great day in Sayville and West Sayville.
Members of each high school class years proudly marched on their homemade floats through downtown Sayville to Sayville High School in West Sayville during the traditional homecoming parade, and later performed entertaining skits on the football field. The high school band, as well as youth bands, cheerleaders and football players, also participated in the parade.
