Sun and still air countered below-freezing temperatures Sunday to make for a nice parade day for Bayport and Blue Point.
Thousands took to the sidewalks of Montauk Highway and Blue Point Avenue for the 27th annual Bayport-Blue Point St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
This is the oldest parade in the GreaterPatchogue coverage area, as well as the longest — with a parade route stretching over 1.5 miles.
The 2017 grand marshal was Karl Auwaerter of Bayport Flower Houses.
