The race started last year to help deserving families in need of tuition assistance, and the organization is led by the LakeHouse’s Eileen Connors, whose husband and chef, Matt, went to St. Patrick’s,

“It is important to me,” she said. “I am 1 of 10 children. I grew up out east and can honestly say that without the support of that community and school, I would not have had the opportunities that I did.”

Matt runs marathons and Eileen runs half marathons.

The Connors’ children also go to St. Patrick School, she said.

“The running community is such a supportive and fun one,” she said. “I am so happy that we are able to bring both things together to give back to families in our community.”
