The big game

Varsity football did its part, delighting fans with a 41-28 victory over North Babylon. Connetquot is now 3-3 in Suffolk County’s Division III. The team hosts Centereach, also 3-3, this Friday at 7 p.m. Below, the T-Birds storm the field prior to the homecoming game.

Honoring the leader of the band

The family of the late Jon-Michael Lasher served as the grand marshals of the homecoming celebration. Lasher, 45, was the director of music and fine arts for the Connetquot Central School District. He died this spring, after battling brain cancer.

Setting the mood

Connetquot High School’s marching band entertained parade goers, and later helped pump up the T-birds and the fans at the football game.
