A local family is breaking its silence over a loved one who’s been missing since 2015.
And now the police are publicly asking for help in locating Mark Baranek 60. He was last seen at World II, an adult entertainment store in West Babylon.
Baranek, a manager at the store at 92 Kean Street, often lived at that location as well, police said.
He went missing on Aug. 11, 2015. At the time, he was wearing a blue New York Giants football sweatshirt, a tan vest and blue jeans. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall, and weighed about 140 pounds in 2015.
Baranek has lived in the Babylon area for most of his adult life.
The family initially did not want media attention, but are now requesting the public’s assistance, police said.
