The Suffolk County Police Department has issued a Silver Alert for a Copiague woman who suffers from early onset dementia and has been missing for a week.

Barbara Washington, 77, was last seen on Thursday, Oct. 25.

At that time, she was wearing a black turtleneck, red sweater jacket, blue jeans and black shoes. She is believed to be on foot, possibly walking in the Amityville or the eastern Massapequa areas.

Washington is described as black, 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 90 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair. Anyone with information on Washington’s location is asked to call 911 or the First Squad at 631-854-8152.

As a reminder, Silver Alert is a program implemented in Suffolk County that allows local law enforcement to share information with media outlets about individuals with special needs who have been reported missing.
