A Bay Shore convenience store sold a Powerball prize-winning ticket worth $50,000 in the May 1 drawing, lottery officials said.
The lucky ticket — purchased at Jell Convenience at 1197 Sunrise Highway — matched four of the first five numbers drawn, and also matched the red Powerball. The winning numbers for the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69. The red Power Ball is drawn from a separate field of one to 26.
There were no jackpot winners in the May 1 drawing. And the winning ticket bought in Bay Shore was the only third-prize Powerball slip purchased in New York.
The Powerball drawing is televised each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
