Patchogue’s first Breakfast Crawl of 2018 is set for May 19

|

The country’s seminal Breakfast Crawl event returns to Patchogue May 19 from 9 a.m. to noon.

And there’s a 50s Diner theme, so shop for outfits now.

Each biannual Breakfast Crawl in Patchogue serves as a fundraiser. This spring will mark the sixth event, which will be raising money for the Arts on Terry festival June 24.

“The popularity of the crawl is shown not only in this growth here in Patchogue, but in the fact that other towns — like Port Jefferson — have started or are talking about holding their own breakfast crawls or walks,” said Dave Rogers, the Patchogue artist and Greater Patchogue Chamber of Commerce member who conceived of the crawl.

“We are excited to see it continue to grow,” he said.

Tickets will go on sale at patchogue.com, the chamber’s website, in early April.

As with last year’s crawls, it’s again $25 to eat at five locations, $35 for 10 locations, and $45 for 15 locations.

Additional tickets will be available that morning, at a location to be determined.

There’s also a shopping component that’s new to this year’s crawl. So far seven local merchants will be offering discounts to anyone who can show a breakfast crawl menu.

Participating shops will be listed on the menu.
