They’re only about 6 years old, but these first graders from Sylvan Avenue Elementary School have much to say about when they were little.
Recently, they were asked to write about “small moments” in their lives, or personal narratives based on past life events, as the culmination of a month-long writing project.
The first graders first read their pieces aloud on Nov. 25, during a “small moments” writing celebration at the Bayport school. Below are the works of three students.
