Thousands of people lined Main Street Saturday night as Islip played host to its annual holiday parade, which was followed by a Christmas tree lighting outside Town Hall.
This was the second year the parade has been moved to after dark, which was done to better accommodate businesses, said the Islip Chamber’s president, Doris Kennedy of Kennedy L.I. Realty Inc. of Bay Shore. The chamber runs the parade.
