The Town of Islip’s 9/11 remembrances are Tuesday at 5 p.m. in Islip

Please join Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter and members of the Islip Town Board as they honor the memory of Islip’s First Responders and the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

Opening procession will include members of the Fire Departments of the Town of Islip, Suffolk County Police Officers, Bay Shore Fire Department Band and the Lt. Michael Murphy Sea Cadets.

There will be a moving performance of Taps by a Member of the U.S. Naval Reserve, Amazing Grace by Peter Kletchka and God Bless America by Captain Thomas Waldron, Brentwood Fire Department.

The public is asked to meet at 5 p.m. at 655 Main Street in Islip for the remembrances.
