|

GreaterBayShore and the YMCA Boulton Center for the Performing Arts are teaming up once again this fall to present the Classic 80s Films on the Big Screen series in Bay Shore.

Four favorites from the 1980s will be screened at the Boulton Center on Main Street from September and into the holiday season.

The series kicks off on Wednesday, Sept. 19, with Back to School.

Tickets are $8 each. Or click here to pay just $20 to take in all four classic films.

“The classic 80s films on the big screen are always fun for us to do, because it gives us the opportunity to show these classic comedies on the big screen for those who may not have had the chance to view them in a theater setting, when they were first released,” said center director Michele Rizz0-Berg.

The series continues with Monster Squad (Oct. 17), Just One of the Guys (Nov. 14) and National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (Dec. 12). Each movie is screened on a Wednesday.

The series is being presented jointly by the Boulton Center, GreaterBayShore.com and Red River Podcast.

“Topics discussed on their podcast are in line with the type of events we are having,” said Rizzo-Berg. “Their listeners not only love films, they love discussing them and their taste vary from comedy, to horror. We felt they were the perfect addition to co-host this series.”
