They’re saying all diet restrictions should be left at the door. “This dinner is for the adventurous diner.”

And what’s being served is a mystery.

On Monday, July 22, the forever chef at Henley’s Village Tavern in Brightwaters, John Fischer, will be hosting the restaurant’s first-ever “Open Palate” dinner.

All we know is the lineup will include three small plates per person, an entrée, dessert and a 1/2 carafe of any wine per guest.

Henley’s is currently accepting reservations anytime between 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m., with each having a two-hour time slot.

The cost is $75 per person (cash only), but that includes tax and gratuity.

Call 631-968-0100 to make a reservation.

But don’t ask, they warn.

“We won’t have the answers to any your questions regarding the cuisine.”
