1st-family-2017-resized-2With his 9:18 a.m. arrival on Jan. 1, Aaron Olumide became the first baby delivered at Good Samaritan Medical Center in West Islip in 2017.

All the baby needed to do was arrive 10 weeks early.

“We still thought we had 10 more weeks but he surprised us,” said Aaron’s dad, Damilare, of West Babylon. “Now he’s here and we’re happy to see him”

This is the first child for Damilare and his wife, Afolake.

Delivered by Dr. Laura Falkowski, Aaron weighed 8 pounds, 6 ounces.

As the “First Family of 2017,” Good Samaritan treated the Olumide family to a private, complimentary room and a gift basket with clothing and accessories provided by Bubble in Babylon and My Little Rascals in Islip.
