20 Photos: Port Jefferson rings in America’s 250th birthday

|

Red, white and blue filled the streets of Port Jefferson on Saturday morning as the village celebrated America’s 250th birthday with its annual Fourth of July parade, led by the Port Jefferson Fire Department.

GLI photographer James Ferguson was there to capture the colorful scenes as marching bands, decorated floats, first responders and community groups made their way down Main Street.

The celebration continued with a community after-party at the firehouse.
