30-year-old man dies after predawn robbery in South Hempstead; police seek suspects

A 30-year-old man died after he was robbed and critically injured in South Hempstead early Saturday morning, police said.

Nassau Police’s Homicide Squad and Crime Stoppers are now asking the public for help identifying the person or people responsible. Police ion Wednesday identified the victim as Justinn Thomas.

During the 5:22 a.m. robbery and attack, Thomas suffered life-threatening injuries, police said, and later died of those injuries.

Police did not say specify where in South Hempstead the robbery took place, what was taken, or how Thomas was injured. No arrests have been announced.

Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that helps solve the case.
