Man recorded stealing boxing gloves and tote bags from Patchogue Dick’s, cops say

Suffolk Police want the public’s help in identifying a man they say walked out of Dick’s Sporting Goods in Patchogue with an armful of stolen boxing gloves and tote bags.

Investigators released surveillance images of the man, as well as the woman who he drove off in what police believe was a white Dodge Durango.

Cops said the man swiped about $255 worth of merchandise from the Dick’s at 499 Westbound Sunrise Service Road on Sept. 17.

The surveillance images released this week show the man leaving the store carrying red Nike bags and someone who appears to be a young person behind him carrying boxes of boxing gloves. The man was wearing a black New York Yankees cap, a white T-shirt and light-colored ripped jeans.

A second image shows the woman, who has long dark hair and was wearing a navy blue sweater, jeans and a black crossbody bag.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.
