The boys were riding double on the sidewalk along Larkfield Road, cops said
Two 15-year-old boys riding an electric motorcycle on a sidewalk suffered injuries, one serious, when they crashed into a car pulling out of a parking lot in East Northport Monday night, police said.
One of the teens was operating the electric limited use Class A motorcycle northbound on the sidewalk in front of 280 Larkfield Road, with the other riding behind him as a passenger, about 9:45 p.m., according to cops.
The motorcycle slammed into a 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis as the car was pulling out of a parking lot onto Larkfield Road, police said.
The passenger was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries, while the teen who was operating the electric motorcycle went to Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip for minor injuries.
The man driving the Mercury, Dominic Esposito, 33, of East Northport, was not hurt.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks. Police did not identify the teens.
Second Squad detectives are investigating the crash. Anyone with information about the crash is asked to call 631.854.8252.
