Wednesday nights are about to get much better in downtown Port Jefferson.
For the eighth summer in a row, Port Jeff Brewing Company will be hosting its live concert series each Wednesday from June to August.
The free family-friendly concerts happen in front of the brewery at 22 Mill Creek Road from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.
“It really has become a community event,” said Port Jeff Brewing Company’s owner, Michael Philbrick. “People look forward to it all year.”
The live musical performances kick off with a show by The Elextrix this week.
It is something fun to do on what would be a mundane midweek night, says Philbrick.
“It is just a random night and that’s the beauty of it,” he said. “People come down to drink some beer, eat some ice cream, and enjoy the music. What would you be doing otherwise on a Wednesday?”
