Greaterbayshore. com is proud to announce that life-long photographer and the owner of Lasting Impressions Studio in Bay Shore, Jennifer Mercurio, will be contributing professional photography to the website.
Mercurio has been operating Lasting Impressions since 1993, first in East Rockaway and then in Babylon Village before moving to downtown Bay Shore in January of 2015.
She lives in West Islip.
A versatile photographer expertly trained at New York’s famed School of Visual Arts, Mercurio has found her niche shooting child and family portraits — especially portraits of children with special needs.
“We owe our success in special needs photography to two factors: The benefit of many years of experience and our desire to be successful for our clients,” she writes on the Lasting Impressions’ website. “A positive attitude and patience are the most important qualities for working with children with special needs.”
Mercurio moved the studio to the space at 126 East Main Street specifically to accommodate these kids and their families.
She’s also out and about in the communities of the South Shore, constantly capturing images.
Look for some of those photos and more, such as special events and contests, to be published and promoted through greaterbayshore.com.
