Joe Smith Jr. will have to wait a bit longer for his shot at the WBO light heavyweight title.
That’s because the bruising boxer from Shirley, who was set Maxim Vlasov tonight, had his bout postponed after his opponent tested positive for COVID-19, according to reports.
Smith Jr. (26-3, 21 KOs) and Vlasov (45-3, 26 KOs) were vying for the vacant title. The match, scheduled for the MGM Grand Las Vegas, was the main event for Top Rank on ESPN.
