The long-awaited Long Island Farm Brewery (LIFB) in Manorville opens its doors to the public for the very first time this weekend.
Entrance and seating will be on a first come, first served basis, with things kicking off Saturday at noon. The brewery will remain open until 8 p.m. that day, then follow up with noon-6 p.m. hours on Sunday and Memorial Day.
Conveniently located just off Exit 69 on the Long Island Expressway — adjacent to Waterdrinker Family Farm — the brewery promises to be the first of its kind in Brookhaven Town.
The 4,000-square-foot brewery was built inside a former potato barn at 663 Wading River Road. It sits on an 80-acre property that soon will include the brewery’s relocated hop field. The decor of the tasting room and brewhouse are reminiscent of Long Island’s farming past.
“We are finally able to open up our doors and share what we have been working on!!” LIFB operators announced today on Facebook and Instagram today.
The weekend’s festivities include live music and food trucks on site.
Masks will be required for those who are unvaccinated, when not seated.
Here are some other rules to be aware of before you go:
- No limos, buses or vans.
- No outside food or beverages.
- No strollers or large carriers.
- No alcohol consumption on the Waterdrinker fields or anywhere outside of the brewery’s designated area.
- To-go purchases of growlers and/or cans cannot be consumed on the property.
