Two Suffolk County Police officers and an EMT from Community Ambulance Company of Sayville helped deliver a baby boy in Bohemia today.
Fifth Precinct Police Officers John Pitka and Brittany Roche responded about 1:10 p.m. to a 911 call for a pregnant woman in unknown distress.
At the scene, the officers found Diana Delucia in active labor in her home on Ocean Avenue.
Officers Pitka and Roche and the EMT worked together to help deliver a healthy baby boy shortly after arriving at the house.
The mother and baby were taken by ambulance to Northwell Health’s Southside Hospital in Bay Shore.
