Beloved Bayport music teacher Jack Licitra will put on a free concert tonight at 8 p.m. as part of the News 12 Concert Series airing this month on the news organization’s Facebook page.
Fans can catch Licitra’s live performance by going to Facebook.com/News12Networks. Licitra, who lives in Sayville and owns South Bay Arts Pharmacy music school in Bayport, will belt out tunes from “Faith, Hope, Love,” the CD he dropped last month.
Inspiration for “Faith, Hope, Love” — his 12th CD — came from his students, Licitra, 47, said. Before the coronavirus pandemic hit the area, he was scheduled to perform tracks from his new CD at several local venues.
“I am using music to keep reminding myself that if we’re patient, do the right thing and work together, good will always follow,” said Licitra, who is staging the concert at home.
The concert series continues on Wednesday with an 8 p.m. performance from Robin Eve and on Thursday with an 8 p.m. show put on by Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee and Grammy Award winner Darlene Love. Lindsay Whiteman will perform on Friday, also at 8 p.m. Each show will be featured at Facebook.com/News12Networks.
