The craft beer spot Hoptron Brewtique in Patchogue is about to start serving lunch.
Hoptron, which opened at 22 West Main Street in 2012 as an all-beer-everything gathering place, announced its plans this week.
“This is an amazing concept that involves eating and drinking between breakfast and dinner,” joked owned Amanda Danielsen, who last year broke the beer barrier by offering Long Island wine. (Hoptron still doesn’t serve liquor or have bar stools.)
The Hoptron lunch begins at noon this coming Tuesday, Feb. 21, and runs every day to 3 p.m. through Sunday.
Hoptron has so far only opened at 2 p.m. on weekdays.
“Our food has always been more lunch-ish than sit-down dinner, and we’ve got some of the best beer around, so if we match it with food it’s a no-brainer,” Danielsen said.
A recently redesigned menu (below) offered a nice opportunity to start lunch, she said.
THE LUNCH DEAL(S)
• A panini or bratwurst and a pint for $11.
• A pizza-like crustique and a four-beer flight for $15. (Can feed two.)
