That’s what hungry residents in Greater Patchogue are enjoying as Uber Eats recently expanded into the area, according to a company announcement.
This is the second time the company is expanding into Suffolk County, with it recently adding its services to other places like Bay Shore and Babylon Village in December.
Uber Eats, from the ride-sharing service Uber, has been getting positive reviews from participating restaurants like Local Burger Co. of Bay Shore, which is opening a Patchogue location later this year.
“It is going great,” Local Burger co-owner Mike McElwee previously told us.
Jennifer Cantin, marketing head for the Lessing’s Hospitality Group, which operates two dozen restaurants and catering halls on Long Island, said the company has been taking advantage and is “very happy with Uber Eats.”
“We think it’s great Uber Eats is expanding into Patchogue. If we can’t have our customers dining in our stores every night, the next best thing is having them enjoy our food in the comfort of their own home,” she said.
Some of the local restaurants already participating include Village Idiot, Bobbique and Del Fuego,.
