Firetrucks, ambulances, motorcycles, and other emergency vehicles paraded down Hospital Road outside Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue Wednesday evening.
Sirens blared and horns honked in gratitude for the hospital staffers working tirelessly during the COVID-19 crisis.

Corrections officers, ambulance companies, sheriff’s deputies and firefighters all staged by the Hagerman Fire Department before heading to the hospital.
Upon arrival, dozens of hospital workers stood on sidewalks, waving to participants driving the vehicles.
Suffolk County Sheriff Errol D. Toulon expressed his thanks to all the healthcare workers and first responders on the frontlines of this crisis.
“God bless all of you,” Toulon said. “We love you and stay well.”
