The Long Island Equality March and LGBTQIA Pride Picnic were back in full force in Sayville this weekend.
Hundreds came out Sunday to the Transgender Resource Center of Long Island’s fourth annual event, to kick off Pride Month and show their support for the LGBTQ+ community.
Line-up for the march was near the Sayville train station parking lot. The parade proceeded south on Railroad Avenue and concluded at the Common Ground at Rotary Park in Sayville, where the Pride Picnic will took place.
Community organizations from Nassau and Suffolk counties, along with craft and local food vendors participated. There was entertainment, as well.
Check out the clip below from the parade, featuring Grand Marshal Rusty Rose and Long Island drag queen Annie Manildoo.
