Scenes from the first day of the 2022 Great South Bay Music Festival

|

The Great South Bay Music Festival has returned!

Revelers gathered at Patchogue’s Shorefront Park Thursday evening for Day 1 of the four-day music festival.

On the main stage, Zuli Jr. kicked things off, followed by Family Diner and local legends Bayside. Then the headliners Manchester Orchestra and Grouplove thundered through powerful sets that barreled the festival well past its original 10:10 p.m. end time.

Over on the clamshell, burgeoning acts Like Minded Criminals, The Montauk Project, The Dude Ranch performed, with Scared 20 closing that neck of the festival out with a loud, fast and ferocious set between the main stage’s two headliners.

GreaterPatchogue covered the action at the first day at the Great South Bay Music Festival. Watch our photo slideshow below, from Patchogue-based photographer Benny Migliorino of Benny Migs Photo. Check back later for even more shots of the festival.
