Lottery officials announced today that a third-prize winning ticket was sold for Monday night’s Powerball drawing in Huntington Station.
The lucky ticket sold at the 7-Eleven at 360 E. Jericho Tpke. is worth $50,000. It was the only third-prize ticket bought in New York state, according to New York Lottery
The winning numbers were 6, 21, 23, 39 and 54. The red Powerball drawn was 23. Nineteen fourth-prize tickets worth $100 were sold in New York.
No tickets matched all the numbers to win the jackpot. Additionally, there were no second-prize winners ($1 million) in Monday’s drawing.
Long Island 7-Eleven’s have been on a lucky Powerball streak in recent weeks. A 7-Eleven in Bay Shore sold a second-prize ticket worth $50,000 in the April 3 drawing and a Rocky Point 7-Eleven sold a third-prize ticket in the April 1 drawing.
The winning numbers for Powerball are drawn from a field of one to 69. The red Power Ball is taken from a separate field of one to 26. The Powerball drawing is televised every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
