Nobody won the $1.09 jackpot up for grabs in Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing, but one lucky local is $50,000 richer.
A Bay Shore 7-Eleven sold one of the six third-prize-winning tickets in the latest drawing. The prize-winning ticket sold at the chain’s 640 Pine Aire Drive location — across the street from Deer Park’s Long Island Rail Road station — matched the red Powerball number and four of the five white balls drawn.
The white ball numbers drawn were 11, 38, 41, 62 and 65. The Powerball was 15.
Two third-prize winning tickets were purchased in Manhattan. The others were bought in Newburgh, South Wales and Bedford Hills.

Tickets matching the five white balls — good enough for $1 million second prizes — were sold in California, Georgia, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, South Carolina and Washington. Powerball is played in 45 states; Washington, D.C.; Puerto Rico; and the US Virgin Islands. Drawings are held each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 p.m.
The Powerball jackpot now sits at about $1.23 billion for Saturday night’s drawing. The last jackpot winner came in the Jan. 1 drawing.
