Nassau Police nabbed a Brooklyn man for allegedly driving a transit bus in Massapequa with a fake Kentucky license plate, police said.
Seventh Precinct officers pulled a 2001 transit bus — like the one pictured above — traveling east on Sunrise Highway about 1:40 p.m. Saturday near East Chestnut Street. During the stop, they discovered the driver, Antoine Legrant, 46, of Bushwick, was operating the bus with a fraudulant Kentucky license plate that he bought for $150 in Howard Beach, police said.
Legrant was arrested and charged with second-degree criminal possession of a forged instrument and other vehicle violations, according to authorities. He was arraigned on the charge over the weekend in First District Court in Hempstead. Police noted that the investigation is ongoing.
