This Long Island firm’s been winning for injured workers 80+ years and counting

|

When someone suffers a serious injury on the job, they often face more than just physical pain — navigating the Workers’ Compensation system can feel like a battle in itself.

That’s where McIntyre, Donohue, Accardi, Salmonson & Riordan, LLP (MDASR) steps in.

The Bay Shore-based law firm has built a reputation as a powerful advocate for injured workers across Long Island and New York City. And the results speak for themselves: In May alone, MDASR recovered more than $1.19 million in compensation for its clients.

For partner Scott Salmonson, that kind of outcome is what drives the firm’s mission forward.

“We’re here to protect the rights of people who’ve been hurt at work — not add to their stress,” Salmonson said.

A legacy of service

The firm’s roots date back to the 1930s, when attorney Morris Feuerstein opened a small practice in Bay Shore. Over the decades, the office grew, evolved and welcomed new leadership, eventually becoming MDASR in 2016 — named after its current partners.

What started as a solo office with just one secretary has expanded into a full-service legal team of 15 attorneys, a licensed claimant’s representative and more than 35 paralegals and support staff.

The firm now operates seven offices across the region, including Suffolk, Nassau, Manhattan, Brooklyn, the Bronx and White Plains.

Specialized focus, personal touch

MDASR handles a wide range of injury-related claims — from Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability benefits to municipal pensions and cases involving volunteer firefighters and EMS workers.

No matter the case, Salmonson said the goal remains the same: securing fair treatment and full compensation for clients.

“We combine aggressive representation with creative legal solutions to get people what they need to heal and move forward,” he said.

Help is just a phone call away

There are no upfront fees or out-of-pocket costs for clients. MDASR only gets paid when you get paid.

“It’s not just legal work to us,” Salmonson said. “This is personal.”
