A two-day celebration of life, love, and tradition across Long Island
The team at Besito Mexican is inviting Long Islanders to celebrate Día de los Muertos — the Day of the Dead — with a two-day party happening Saturday, Nov. 1, and Sunday, Nov. 2, at all three New York locations: Huntington, Roslyn, and West Islip.
Steeped in the warmth of Mexican culture and hospitality, Besito’s dining rooms will be transformed into colorful tributes to life and remembrance, a Besito announcement reads. Guests can expect traditional décor, festive music, and a friendly Besito hospitality team in Calaca-style face paint — symbolizing joy and reverence for the cherished holiday.
Chef’s specials and festive Sips
Throughout the weekend, guests can enjoy an exclusive Chef’s Día de los Muertos Menu, featuring:
- Taco del Día – Pollo & Rajas: grilled chicken with roasted poblano peppers, Chihuahua cheese, crema, and salsa verde.
- Pescado Relleno: pan-seared Mahi-Mahi stuffed with lobster, shrimp, and crab, served with a warm blossom squash and kale salad drizzled with mole verde.
- Pan de Elote: homemade cornbread topped with vanilla ice cream, atole sauce, caramel, and caramelized pecans.
To toast the occasion, Besito is mixing up the Vampiro Margarita — a handcrafted blend of Patrón Reposado, fresh lime, Sangrita, grapefruit soda, chamoy, and a black salt rim.
Weekend highlights
The celebration begins Saturday, Nov. 1, at 3 p.m., when the Besito team unveils their festive looks and debuts the Chef’s Specials.
