After more than five days of worry and searching, 14-year-old Liam Stark of Moriches has been found safe, his mother, Christy, announced Wednesday afternoon on Facebook.

“I will post much more in a bit. But I have my boy. THANK YOU ALL FOR BEING MY VILLAGE. ❤️💜❤️” she wrote, expressing relief and gratitude to those that helped search for him.

Liam went missing Friday morning after leaving William Floyd High School, sparking a multi-day search that included police notifications, surveillance footage tracking his movements, and public appeals from his family and at least two school districts.

Reports of sightings in Shirley, Brookhaven, Bellport and Middle Island kept the community on alert throughout the weekend.

Authorities and the school district have not yet provided additional details about Liam’s recovery.

Christy Stark’s post prompted an outpouring of support online, with neighbors and friends celebrating the boy’s safe return.

“So Happy for you Chrissy!!! Thank Goodness Liam is home safe with his family and he has all your love 💕 to help him through this .. sending hugs, prayers and and 💕 to you and your family,” read one of the comments on Stark’s Facebook post.
