Sirene Hamptons group plans revival of John Duck’s site in Southampton Village

One of Southampton Village’s most familiar restaurant corners is eyeing a comeback.

The longtime home of John Duck’s at 15 Prospect St., at the intersection of Prospect Street and Main Street, is being reimagined as Sirene Hamptons, a new contemporary American and Mediterranean concept now working through the village permitting process.

For 62 years, the property housed John Duck’s Restaurant, a staple with deep roots in the community. A new hospitality team is now planning to honor that legacy while introducing a fresh take on dining and events in the heart of the village.

“We are excited to launch in time for the season and targeting our soft open in April and full opening in May,” said Farah Razvi, president of Sirene Hamptons.

Razvi added that the team is approaching the project with both ambition and a neighborhood mindset.

“I’m personally excited to serve the community with a goal to be a Southampton neighborhood favorite,” she said.

If approvals fall into place as anticipated, Sirene Hamptons is expected to feature a full-service restaurant and bar, private dining spaces, a venue hall and a garden experience, creating a flexible setting for everything from weeknight dinners to large-scale celebrations.

The team, described as hospitality professionals with experience across food, events and design, is aiming to create a space that blends architectural detail and fashion-forward aesthetics with subtle nods to the property’s history.

Sirene Hamptons is also planning to operate year-round.

“We will be a year round establishment — during fall and winter we will host fun holiday events and be available to host our guests for their own holiday celebrations,” Razvi said.

Even ahead of an official opening date, the team says it has begun fielding inquiries for private events, including weddings, corporate gatherings and social celebrations.

“We welcome guests to start inquiring now about their special events, we have a variety of offerings for catering packages for special occasions, corporate events or small to large gatherings,” Razvi said.
