Pints up, one last time.
It’s the final hurrah for Village Idiot Irish Pub in Oakdale. The Irish pub, which is about to mark a decade along Montauk Highway, will close for renovations as it transitions into a new concept, ownership confirmed to Greater Long Island.
“We celebrate 10 years on Saturday and then drain the bar and say goodbye for now,” owner John Sarno told Greater Long Island.
The restaurant will then close April 27 for renovations ahead of its next chapter.
Sarno recently rebranded his Village Idiot location in Lake Grove into Rockefellers Kitchen & Cocktails, a Prohibition-inspired restaurant.
The Village Idiot Pub in Patchogue remains open on Main Street.
The Oakdale location is expected to reopen as American Times Restaurant & Tavern. More details on the concept are expected soon.
