One of Long Island’s largest and longest-running craft fairs is all set for Sunday, Sept. 9.
And it’s about to get even bigger.
The Annual Fair, which is run by the Babylon Beautification Society at Argyle Park in Babylon Village, is drawing in over 300 vendors this year — the most ever in the festival’s over 30-year existence.
“We look forward to it every year; it is our biggest fundraiser,” said the president of the Babylon Beautification Society, Frank Petruzzo.
The fair will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., will a variety of items being sold throughout the day — from artisanal items like jewelry and clothing to food and drinks.
“There’s a lot of different items there and many vendors come back year after year,” Petruzzo previously told GreaterBabylon.
Some hail from as far away as New Jersey, Florida, and New Hampshire.
“But they’re mostly from Long Island,” he had said.
The money raised at the society’s chief fundraiser goes back into keeping Babylon Village beautiful.
The society uses the money raised for such projects and programs as the hanging baskets, holiday lights at Christmastime, lining the village with shrubs and trees and more.
The rain date for the Annual Fair is Sept. 16 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
