A sneak peek at Bay Shore’s new wine bar opening soon

|

By the end of this month, downtown Bay Shore will be home to a new wine bar.

As previously reported, West Islip’s Angelo Crisci is opening Fire Island Vines, a 2,400-foot-establishment, with his wife Tessie, and daughters, Paulina and Angelia.

“It’s like our home,” Angelo told GreaterBayShore on Tuesday. “We want to treat people like family.”

Inside the building, which is days away from opening, there will be a focus on selling wines, as well as beer and cider on 14 tap lines. All the beverages come from local vendors, from Out East to upstate New York, says the family.

Fire Island Vines can seat 75 people between its benches, tabletops and stool seating at the 25-foot bar.

For food, Fire Island Vines’ kitchen plans to make flatbreads, thin-crust pizzas, and Bavarian pretzels, among other items. There will also be some Greek-influence hailing from Tessie, whose family is from Sparti, Greece.

The Crisci family will also use their space, located at 17 East Main Street, for private events.

“We had a wedding earlier this month and everything was perfect,” said Angelo.

Additionally, on the property, will be a separate street entrance to a 300-square-foot nook called FIV Cafe and Market for people to get self-serve coffee, snacks, soups and grab-and-go sandwiches.
