Argyle Jewelers is moving to a larger location in Babylon Village

|

Argyle Jewelers of Babylon is making a move up the block, to the former home of Love My Shoes. The hope is to get into the new, larger spot on Deer Park Avenue by the end of summer.

“We are very excited,” said store owner Joe Tavella. “It’s a little bit bigger and it can service our customers better.”

The move itself will start in August, with a tentative Sept. 1 opening planned.

The new location at 216 Deer Park Avenue measures a full 2,700 square feet, which is enough room to add more jewelry lines. Argyle Jewelers will be looking to add more products, such as watches, all at a good cost, according to Tavella.

“We want to have nice products that give the customers the most they can get for what they have to spend,” he said. “That’s our motto.”

Another nice addition will be the 28-space parking lot that will be available for customers in the new location.

“The new parking is really important to me.” Tavella said. “[My customers] can now drive up the driveway and park in the back.”

Argyle Jewelers has been a Babylon since 1988. This month, the family-owned business celebrated its 17th year at 150 Deer Park Avenue building, and its 29th year in Babylon Village.
