This week’s selection for Around Town is from professional photographer and New Village resident Lisa Harden-Stone, also a GreaterPatchogue contributor.
It was taken from Sandspit Park Beach & Marina at the mouth of Patchogue River before sunset on May 10.
“I love to ride my bike down by the water at the end of a long day to breath in the salty breeze,” Harden-Stone tells us. “This scene is one of my favorites of the many photographs I’ve taken around Patchogue. I love living here; it’s a very special place with tons of character.
“This is just the beginning of many images that will be captured through my lens during this chapter in my life.”
Through Around Town, GreaterPatchogue encourages local photographers of all skill levels to submit scenes from the area for possible publication. Email submissions of 2MB or less to mike@greaterpatchogue.com, along with a date and time of photo, as well as a description that includes some short, personal thoughts.Â
Photos should be somewhat recent (within two months) and can be from Patchogue, East Patchogue, Bellport, Brookhaven, Blue Point or Bayport.Â
