The iconic Avril Lavigne has announced her upcoming “The Greatest Hits” tour, and it includes an August performance at Northwell Health at Jones Beach Theater.
The Canadian born pop-punk extraordinaire’s Tuesday, Aug. 27 performance in Wantagh by the ocean lands smack in the middle of her 27-date North American circuit. She kicks off her tour on May 22 at Rogers Arena in Vancouver.
Lavigne — nominated eight times for a Grammy Award — is expected to perform her top songs, including “Sk8er Boi,” “Complicated,” “Here’s to Never Growing Up,” and “Girlfriend.”

In her Instagram post hyping the tour, Lavigne asks for song requests.
“This is gonna be too much stupid fun celebrating my career with my friends and fans,” she wrote. “Who’s coming???? What songs do you want to hear???”
Tickets for the tour’s shows go on sale Friday, Jan. 26, at 10 a.m. Lavigne notes in her Instagram post to “Make sure you are following me on TikTok or signed up for my email list to get first access to tickets.”
Lavigne will also perform in Las Vegas, Phoenix, Toronto, Charlotte, Chicago and more before wrapping up her tour on Sept. 16 in Edmonton at Rogers Place. The singer additionally will perform at summer festivals in Czechia, Austria, Netherlands, Germany and Spain, as well as two headline shows in the United Kingdom.
