It’s a girl! At 6:29 a.m. on New Years Day, a little baby girl was celebrated as the first baby born in 2020 at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip.
Delivered by Dr. Aaron David, Defne Avodogandalgic weighed 7 pounds, 3 ounces and was 21 inches long.
The new mom and dad, Umit Ufuk and Cagri Avdogan-Dalgic, originally are from Turkey, but currently reside in Plainview.
