Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition to host 21st annual ‘Chefs for a Cause’ May 15

|

Babylon Breast Cancer Coalition‘s hit fundraiser Chefs for a Cause is turning 21 this year.

To celebrate, the Lindenhurst-based nonprofit will be passing around plenty of champagne during the night.

“It’s the best way to celebrate turning 21,” said Cassidy Kammerer, co-vice president of fundraising for the BBCC.

Chefs for a Cause will be hosted at Babylon Village’s new wedding venue, The Piermont, on Wednesday, May 15.

The event, which runs from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., will include food from 20-plus restaurants, drinks, auction, raffles, and live music.

And, for the first time ever, the Coalition will be bringing in a magician to entertain revelers.

The entry cost is $80 per person, with all proceeds going toward helping local families that are impacted by cancer.

The fundraiser’s organizers look to raise between $55,000 to $60,000 each year.

“Every year we keep reaching our mark, and we are so grateful,” said Kammerer.

The BBCC says its organization wouldn’t be able to achieve their goals if it wasn’t for the support of the local businesses in the area.

“It is amazing to see everyone come together and support us,” said Kammerer.

Among those who donate their time and resources are the co-owners of Bay Shore’s Verde Kitchen & Cocktails and Coastal Kitchen & Daiquiri Bar.

“It’s always fun supporting such a great cause with our fellow local restauranteurs,” said Anthony Tartaglia, who co-owns both Bay Shore restaurants. “It’s a very well organized event with lots of great people…and food!
