Babylon Village hosts ribbon-cutting ceremony for Spa Opulence New York

|

It was a warm welcome to Babylon party Friday for the downtown’s new luxury wellness spa, Opulence New York.

Opulence, located at 11 West Main Street — in the former home of Simply Wax and Lash Studio — opened in the village this spring.

To celebrate, Mayor Ralph Scordino and members of the Babylon Village Chamber of Commerce visited the spa for a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

“It is a great opportunity to experience one of the ribbon-cuttings here in Babylon Village– [Opulence is] a tremendous asset,” said Scordino.  “You have a beautiful corner here on Main Street. Good luck!”

Opulence offers a variety of services such as halotherapy in its salt cave, aromatherapy in the steam room and spray tanning.

“We love that your business is so unique,” said Jacqueline DiDonato, the chamber’s president.  “I am a big fan of salt caves, being at peace, and trying to take care of your mind, body, and soul. You brought that to us in a very special way.”

Opulence’s owner, Genevieve Cancel, says joining that Babylon Village community has been everything she thought it would be.

“I love the way it looks,” she said.  “I love the people that is why we chose this location.”
