A night filled with barbequing, refreshing beverages, and live entertainment is what’s on tap for the annual Barbecue by the Bay in Babylon Village.
This year’s event, held at the Babylon Village Pool, is scheduled for Thursday, July 11, from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m.
During that time, there will be all-you-can-eat hamburgers, hot dogs, lobster tails, chicken, salads, and desserts, along with unlimited beer, wine, and soda. The food is catered by Babylon Village Meat Market and cooked on site, while the desserts are donated by Torta Fina Bake Shoppe & Patisserie.
The Mangos, a Southern, classic rock band, will be performing throughout the evening.
“It is a very fun night and the venue is awesome,” said Frank Petruzzo, of the Babylon Beautification Society, which runs the BBQ.
For non-residents, it is one of the only times the village pool is open to the public, however, swimming will not be permitted during the day.
The price for the 21-and-older event is $75. Proceeds from the night will go toward the beautification of the Babylon Village LIRR station.
