The convenience store at a Baldwin gas station sold a lottery prize-winning ticket worth more than $20,000 on Thursday.
Conoco, located at 1919 Grand Ave., sold for the lucky slip for the TAKE 5 midday drawing. The first-prize ticket is worth $20,278.50 before taxes. It was the only first-prize ticket in the midday drawing.
The evening TAKE 5 drawing on Thursday also saw only one first-prize ticket. Sold at Express News on Main Street in Flushing, the ticket is worth $36,274 before required withholdings.
TAKE 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one through 39. The numbers selected in this drawing were 6, 21, 33, 38 and 39.
TAKE 5 drawings are televised twice daily, at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Winners can claim a lottery draw game prize of any amount up to one year from the date of the drawing.
