Bar Lucy, a ‘sexy neighborhood Italian’ restaurant, gets warm welcome to Bay Shore

|

The Greater Bay Shore Chamber of Commerce helped officially welcomed Bar Lucy to East Main Street this week with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The new Italian restaurant, located at 150 E. Main St., took over the former home of The Linwood and marks a stylish new chapter in Bay Shore’s ever-growing dining scene.

Bar Lucy is calling itself a “sexy neighborhood Italian” spot, serving up handcrafted dishes rooted in old-school tradition with a fresh, modern flair. On the menu: red sauce classics, seasonal pastas like fusilli Gregorio and garganelli primavera, artisanal pizzas and standout desserts including a lemon curd cheesecake.

The new concept keeps the same ownership, executive chef Henry Friedank III and general manager Sarah Garcia — the team that led The Linwood’s success — promising continuity in both quality and hospitality.

“It was a great day for our community,” said Chamber President Eddie Fraser. “Bar Lucy not only adds to Bay Shore’s revitalization but also elevates our dining scene. We are delighted to extend a warm welcome and support to this dynamic addition downtown.”

The Chamber also applauded Bar Lucy’s mission of spreading “love and light,” welcoming every guest with warmth and creating a space where food, drinks, and community come together. Bar Lucy also recently celebrated a new lunch menu, launched this week.

The Greater Bay Shore Chamber of Commerce promotes local businesses, fosters economic development, and helps build strong community connections month by month.
