Bay Shore cancels 2021 St. Patrick’s Day parade

|

Bay Shore and Brightwaters residents may have to wait until 2022 to march down Main Street for St. Patrick’s Day.

That’s because the Committee of the Bay Shore Brightwaters Parade decided to cancel the 2021 parade due to continuing COVID-19 concerns.

“The health and well-being of our participants and spectators is our highest priority,” the committee’s official statement reads. “We look forward to seeing you all in 2022, and wish you all nothing but health and wellness in the upcoming months.”

This is the second time the parade has been canceled due to the fear of the ongoing pandemic.

“We look forward to seeing you all in 2022, and wish you all nothing but health and wellness in the upcoming months,” finishes the statement.
