A 22-year-old Bay Shore man died after he was stabbed Sunday night during a fight at Heatherwood Lakeside Village apartment complex in East Patchogue, police said.
Suffolk County police responded to 9 Pondview Drive about 8 p.m. on Sunday after receiving a 911 call regarding a fight. By the time police arrived, Justin Evans, who was stabbed in the neck during the altercation, had been taken by private vehicle to NYU Langone Hospital – Suffolk about a quarter of a mile away.
Evans was pronounced dead a short time later.

Heatherwood Communities says that its East Patchogue apartment complex offers one- and two-bedroom apartments and resort-style amenities.
